It was in the upper 60’s today in St. Louis, so it was the perfect day to get out and walk around and enjoy the rare warm winter weather. I have kinda been in a slump lately, which is most likely the winter blues. In the warmer seasons I enjoy running at the park, so it’s driving me nuts that it’s been a few months since I’ve ran. Everyone knows St. Louis weather is bipolar. Continue Reading
Let’s get nostalgic up in here. Just pretend you didn’t jam out to this song back in the day. Try not to dance to it! I may or may not have owned the album..
When it comes to my personal style, I usually stray away from character and graphic designs. I’m almost 30 years old, so you will no longer see me sporting a Hello Kitty tee like you would’ve in my mid-twenties. I don’t have anything against people who wear cartoon graphics, but for me, it’s just too juvenile for my taste. I made a small exception when I saw this sweater in a lookbook from the Forever 21 Barbie collection. I had to have it! To my dismay, it was sold out online, so I went to my local store and they had one left that just so happened to be in my size. It was meant to be! I love this sweater because it’s simple, the typography is catchy and it is surprisingly super soft! I can’t get enough of pink, either. I edged it up a little with my leatherette skater skirt. I’d like to wear this outfit out to an event, because when I had it on to just run errands I got some interesting looks. I’m positive every person I passed in the store looked at me. I found it very humorous.
Not the duckface!
Yes. That is an inflatable ice cream cone.
When I started taking these photos, I had my hair up. I’m not really a fan. What do you think?

Ever since I started working at the Car Museum a couple years ago, I’ve developed quite a love for collectable cars. The tackboard in my office reveals that I have a special interest for pink cars. I’ve waited a long time for us to get a pink vehicle in stock, so you can imagine my excitement when a beautiful 1958 Buick Caballero in a light pink shade showed up in our showroom. After having this baby for a couple months, I finally got someone to take photos of me with it! I tried my best to look like I was from that decade. Seriously, how did women do those crazy hair styles back in the day? I used about half a bottle of hairspray and my bangs still went flat! These photos kind of tell a story. I’m a girl named Betty who is about to go for a night out on the town, but my car won’t start, so I have to fix it. Besides being adorable, I’m also a witty mechanic. I get it up and running and drive off into the sunset. The end. I didn’t say it was a great story.. 😀 oh, and sorry about the boobage. There’s not really anything I can do about those suckers.

One Saturday afternoon, I decided to take a mini road trip to Columbia, MO. I hadn’t been there in over 2 years, and as long as I have music in my car, I can drive for hours! When I arrived in town, I hit up The 63 Diner for a bite to eat. For as long as I can remember, I’ve always had a thing for diners. They’re cheap, casual, nostalgic, and I’m sucker for fried foods! If calories were no object, I’d probably eat them everyday. The 63 Diner is full of kitschy 1950’s decor, and makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Even the waitresses were dressed for the decade! The food was good, and exactly what you’d expect from any greasy spoon. I ordered the chili-cheeseburger, but dessert was the highlight of my meal, which was the peanut butter pie. It had peanut butter, chocolate, custard, whipped topping, and Butterfinger pieces—oh my god!! I was “full” from my burger and still managed to eat half of it. I wish they would have given me the recipe! I will definitely be visiting the 63 diner again. I’ll have to try the breakfast next time!
