Snowed in book giveaway

book contest

This winter has been brutal. If you’re like me and would rather stay in and keep warm instead of going out and freezing in some outfit you probably shouldn’t be wearing, then I have the perfect giveaway for you! I am giving one lucky person this collection of what I’d like to call creative prompt books. What a better way to kick the winter boredom and blues! Here’s what’s included in the giveaway:

My Wonderful World of Fashion: A Book for Drawing, Creating and DreamingAn interactive coloring book for fashionistas of all ages, My Wonderful World of Fashion is packed with beautiful and sophisticated illustrations specially created by the leading fashion-illustrator Nina Chakrabarti.

The book encourages creativity, with illustrations to color in and designs to finish off, as well as simple ideas for making and doing (how to make a sari, turn a napkin into a headscarf, dye a T-shirt, and so on). Covering clothing, shoes, bags, jewelry, and other accessories, the illustrations span both vintage fashionsdrawing on beautiful and interesting objects from past agesand contemporary designs from the illustrator’s own imagination.

My Even More Wonderful World of Fashion
A new interactive colouring book for fashionistas of all ages, My Even More Wonderful World of Fashion is packed with more beautiful and sophisticated illustrations specially created by illustrator Nina Chakrabarti.

Listography Journal: Your Life in ListsList-makers rejoice! This quirky and imaginative guided journal is the ultimate tool for creating a unique autobiography entirely in list form. Some lists include: greatest accomplishments, memorable co-workers, favorite food, guiltiest pleasures, greatest acts of kindness, and personal fashion trends. Each list is accompanied by hilarious illustrations. Listography is perfect for getting down all the details of a life less ordinary.

This Is Not a BookIn this uniquely skewed look at the purpose and function of “a book,” Keri Smith offers an illustrated guide that asks readers to creatively examine all the different ways This Is Not a Book can be used. With intriguing prompts, readers will discover that the book can be:

A secret message—tear out a page, write a note on it for a stranger, and leave it in a public place.

A recording device—have everyone you contact today write their name in the book.

An instrument—create as many sounds as you can using the book, like flipping the pages fast or slapping the cover.

This Is Not a Book will engage readers by having them define everything a book can be by asking, “If it’s not a book, what is it then?”—with a kaleidoscope of possible answers.

What I Wore TodayDoodle yourself into a style icon.

Have you noticed how what you do in a day has quite a lot to do with what you’re wearing? You forget your glasses, you miss the bus. You wear lucky underpants and suddenly everything goes your way. Not everyone wants their journal to be about feelings and bad poetry, so start scribbling about what you wore and sum up in a flash what it is to be you.

Let your imagination run wild. Use our little mannequin to sketch yourself in a flash and fill in the blanks about the day – its highs, its lows, and what you’ve been up to. You can design your ideal fashion items, from shoes to umbrellas, so you can be as creative with your style as you like. Use the additional wish list for your notes, pictures, cut-outs – stick in or write down whatever your heart desires. No self-respecting girl should be without one!
